Jakks Pacific Bloomix Dolls Appear on Tumblr!

(This news has been posted already on various sites and Michael's Winx Club and Una Di Noi Winx, but I first found out about it from one of my friends on Flickr.)

So last night Tumblr user, Duchess Swan, posted a picture of his Toys R Us Doll Haul, which included the entire Winx Club Bloomix Power Collection!

And now what everyone has been waiting for--- The Bloomix Doll Images! I do not own these pictures and will take them down if requested by the owner. The purpose of this post is solely to spread Winx Club news and to reach as many fans as possible! 

I like these dolls, but I don't love them, That may change when I see more pictures of them but honestly I was hoping for something a bit better. Sadly, it looks like they had to go through a lot of cost reduction from the leaked prototypes we saw here. 

• They all have the same yellow crown mold which appears to be from the Bloom Harmonix doll, but I don't think works here. If they were going to reuse an accessory I believe the Aisha Harmonix tiara mold would have worked better as it hangs over the forehead more like the tiara in the Bloomix designs.  

• The transition from leggings to shoe is really awkward in my opinion. The skin really shouldn't be showing. I wish Jakks would have invested in using a longer shoe mold to cover up the skin (they used the Bloom and Flora Charmix mold for people wondering) OR made the leggings go all the way down and cover the feet (like footie pajamas) and then put the shoe on top. I think those would have been better solutions. (The prototype image from above had a different shoe mold and leggings that didn't reveal skin.) 

• It looks like the Mythix wands and Capes that the girls had in the prototype images were also cost reduced, unless the Mythix wands are coming with the Mythix dolls. We will have to see.

But of course their are awesome things about these dolls too! 

• The leggings are all very nicely detailed!
• The wings are gorgeous as always.
• The tops are nicely detailed.

IN CONCLUSION:

Maybe I am being a bit too critical. The Bloomix show designs were very complex and are probably the most complex of all Winx transformation designs. I am still SUPER excited Jakks released these and I will be buying every single one. My favorites are Flora, Musa, and Tecna! How about you? Please tell me what you think in the comments!

Winx Club Dolls in the Middle of "Anorexic" Looking Doll Scandle

So guys, the Winx Club body type/art style is again being targeted by parents who think that the body type is unhealthy for little girls to see and a dad wants the dolls to be taken off shelves at a retailer called Myer.

What do you guys think of this story? Do you think the Winx body type is a negative influence on little girls? 

This is how I personally feel about the subject, "Does anyone realize the dolls are simply based off of the show's characters and art style? The art style of the Winx Club cartoon makes the characters skinny and thin. It's just an art style, it's not an accurate representation of how your daughter should look. If your daughter likes the dolls and you're worried about how she will be effected by the thin body, can't you explain to her that normal girls don't look like that? That she's based off a cartoon? Not real life."

Winx Club Season 6 TRAILER Debuts on Rainbow's Winx Club YouTube Channels!

Okay guys, I'm so late with this post! But anyways, here are my thoughts on the Season 6 Trailer! 
As most Winx Club fans already know, on Thursday August 29th, the trailer for the BRAND NEW 6th season of Winx Club was uploaded to many of Rainbow's Winx Club YouTube Channels (Rainbow has multiple Winx Club channels for different languages.)

I'm not going to comment on the trailer too much but here's a bullet list of things that I noticed/liked/didn't like about the trailer. (I ended up commenting on a lot.) 

• LOOKS MUCH BETTER THAN SEASON 5! I think the plot of this season will be much more interesting than Season 5! Read the exclusive plot summary on Michael's Winx Club! *****SPOILER ALERT. Don't read it you don't know what happens in the last few episodes of Season 5.*****

• The Trix get new outfits once again! I'm happy about that but I'm not sure if I like the new hair styles and clothes yet. I'll need to get a better view of them.

• The Winx are wearing pink and grey plaid school uniform style outfits throughout the trailer. It's unconfirmed if these will be the official everyday outfits for this season or not at this time. The outfits are really cute and pretty but I'm not sure how I feel about them being so similar. It kind of takes their individuality away as a group of fairies with totally different powers. 

• Daphne is shown getting into the transformation poses with the Winx girls. It will be cool to see her fighting with the Winx in a few episodes, but please Daphne... don't join the Club. How lame would it be to be in a club with your younger sibling? I would hate that. A lot of people are saying that Daphne deserves to in the Winx Club because she helped out the Winx so much but is it really necessary? Daphne is already Bloom's sister so they can hang out when ever they want. I'd much rather see Roxy join. I want to see her progression as a fairy. How cool would it be to see her get her Enchantix powers or something? Although I feel like this will never  happen because Rainbow and Nick  seem to like to not like to talk about old transformations once a new one comes along, which is really unsettling for me. I always miss the old ones! 

• There's a very anime-ish vibe and style throughout the whole trailer. I think I like it! I'm not sure if it's exactly "Winx" but I guess we'll see when the new season 6 episodes debut!
  

• We see the Specialists with new outfits. 

• Of course we get a sneak peak of the new transformations! It looks like there will be two in this season.

As you guys can see there will be CGI animation in the 6th season, but I'm pretty sure most of us saw that coming. 

What did you guys think about the trailer? I'm SO excited for season 6! And if fashion dolls come out I'm sure they'd be gorgeous!

Fly High All Around: Let's Contact Jakks: My reply from Jakks Pacific!

Please click here to read my previous article about the email campaign to Jakks Pacific I have started. We need you to help out so PLEASE check it out. It could be helpful with convincing Jakks what could  be done with the doll line to help improve sales.

After sending my letter about my marketing concerns and other concerns for the Winx Club doll line I received a very nice email from Jakks. Also, it wasn't just an automated reply they directly answered part of my question---so you know the letter will be acknowledged and read if sent to consumers@jakks.com 

Here is the reply I received in text format and screenshot:

"Thank you for contacting Consumer Relations,

I would be more than happy to forward your email to the appropriate department.  We are always striving to improve our products an appreciate any type of feedback.  We appreciate that you have taken the time out to write us.  If you have any further concerns feel free to contact me."

Fly High All Around Part 2: Contact Jakks Pacific!

If you haven't already heard I have started the "Fly High All Around" Winx Club Doll Campaign on my YouTube Channel Sailoreric97 with BubbleGumMagic97 on YouTube. The Winx Club dolls by Jakks Pacific have been selling poorly lately and we want to change this! Please read about my previous post about #FlyHighAllAround here for more details if you haven't heard about it yet. 

So we know doll sales are low and as fans we pretty much can see the obvious problems with the Winx Club Doll line. Most fans have come to the conclusion that poor doll sales are a result of:

• Poor Marketing by Jakks and Nickelodeon: It seems that Jakks Pacific and Nickelodeon really haven't been advertising Winx. Winx Club just randomly stopped airing on Nickelodeon and when the show was airing we weren't seeing very many, if any, commercials to advertise the show and let fans know when it was airing. Nickelodeon doesn't seem to advertise Nick much on their social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter. Without the frequent advertising  how can they expect people who aren't huge fans like us to stay updated? 

• Too Many Blooms left on shelves: This is one major problem that no doubt hurt the line. Consumers were mostly finding Bloom dolls and when they wanted other characters, they simply had trouble finding them due to the rarer characters selling out fast. UPDATE: It seems that this problem may be being fixed. I was watching a Tecna Sirenix Doll review on YouTube and in the comments I asked the girl how many of each character she saw at the store. She replied to me saying she saw one of each girl! So hopefully this will be the new case ratio. 

• Bad Distribution:  From what I've heard people were for the most part able to easily find the first releases---Believix, Concert, and Everyday Collections. But when it came to the second wave of dolls---Harmonix and City Style- some people still have not been able to find these dolls in stores. 

Fly High All Around Winx Club Doll Campaign!

According to many recent articles (some more recent than others) the Winx Club Doll line has been selling poorly. Here are just two articles you can read about toy sales at Jakks Pacific. Both directly mention the Winx Club Doll Line.

There are many factors that have probably contributed to the poor sales. Here are a few:

• Infrequent/Inadequate advertising of the show/dolls
• Shelves overloaded with Bloom dolls
• Poor distribution/difficulty in finding the specific doll/s a person wants

Because of these poor doll sales I have teamed up with BubbleGumMagic97 on my YouTube channel Sailoreric97 to start a campaign to promote doll sales! 

The campaign is called "Fly High All Around!" Through the campaign we will be promoting the Winx Club Doll Line and hope to raise awareness of the line in hopes that doll sales improve!

The doll sales for this Fall will no doubt have a MAJOR impact on the fate of the Winx Club doll line.

Thoughts on Sirenix

     Hello Guys!

     Today I will be sharing my thoughts on the 13th Winx Club season 5 episode "Sirenix" I'm not going to go over the whole episode just a few things XD

First of all I LOVE SIRENIX! The transformations are awesome! The trix get a new look also! I like the Trix Sirenix it's just odd finally seeing them in some new attire. I wish Rainbow would have done a full transformation for the Trix, that would have been awesome! When the Winx enter the infinite ocean I don't really understand the purpose of their hair changing colors but whatever lol. I'm so excited to see the sirenix transformation in 2-d :)

Winx Season 5 Episode Review-The Shimmering Shells

Okay I LOVED this episode! I'm not going to do a full out review of the episode but I have a lot of GOOD things to say about it! First of all there was little to no cheesy lines and the script was more mature with less dumb jokes! SO thank you Nick and Rainbow for that! I was going to scream if the lines were dumb. This episode really exceeded my expectations I was starting to think season 5 would be a let down but this episode sure changed my mind. And Harmonix! Possibly my favorite transformation! I love Enchantix and Magic Winx(Charmix) but I think we can all admit Harmonix is way better than Believix. (In my opinion!) And next week..SQUEE! The Winx are going to Melody! Rainbow I love you!!!! OMG!!!!!!! EVERYONE CALM DOWN!!! Okay YES! Very Exciting! At least for me! This is the best episode of season 5 so far!! And I think the gift of self confidence has more of a purpose than those gifts the Winx needed in season 4 to get Lovix and Sophix. Also, every time they get one of those gifts another gem goes on their Sirenix box! Cool idea.  So with that said have a good day everyone! I hope you enjoyed this episode as much as I did! Can't wait for the Harmonix dolls, they better be beautiful because this transformation is WAY to good for crappy dolls.

What I think

Okay so there has been some talk about the similarities and differences between the Jakks dolls and Simba/Witty Toys/Smoby/Whatever Winx Dolls.I am here to give my opinion on it.

  I guess Rainbow wants the boxes to look similar. I'm sure they had permission to basically steal the other company's boxes. Honestly I think all of the things about Jakks making their shoes different because Simba has copyright on the dolls is just simply not true. If they were gonna sue Jakks it would be because they were also making winx dolls before they were sued because of the shoes. Also, Rainbow gave both companies permission to make the Winx dolls so the companies can't sue each other.

Original Seasons 1 and 2 from Nick?

I have just had this idea in my head for a while. Wouldn't it be great if we could have nick dub the original seasons 1 and 2 of Winx Club? This would be awesome just for for me because I love the original first season of Winx Club and that's what got me so into the show :) Also, if Nick dubbed the first two seasons us  English fans could finally have the full series of Winx dubbed in English with the same voice actors. They could sell us really expensive box sets of the whole series :) And isn't that what Nick wants, our money? When season 6 is over the voice actors could have one final Winx project-original seasons 1 and 2. I would love to suggest this idea to Nick but I have know idea how to even go about doing this. Wouldn't this be cool? Tell me what you guys think in the comments. :)
