Winx Club Season 6 TRAILER Debuts on Rainbow's Winx Club YouTube Channels!

Okay guys, I'm so late with this post! But anyways, here are my thoughts on the Season 6 Trailer! 
As most Winx Club fans already know, on Thursday August 29th, the trailer for the BRAND NEW 6th season of Winx Club was uploaded to many of Rainbow's Winx Club YouTube Channels (Rainbow has multiple Winx Club channels for different languages.)

I'm not going to comment on the trailer too much but here's a bullet list of things that I noticed/liked/didn't like about the trailer. (I ended up commenting on a lot.) 

• LOOKS MUCH BETTER THAN SEASON 5! I think the plot of this season will be much more interesting than Season 5! Read the exclusive plot summary on Michael's Winx Club! *****SPOILER ALERT. Don't read it you don't know what happens in the last few episodes of Season 5.*****

• The Trix get new outfits once again! I'm happy about that but I'm not sure if I like the new hair styles and clothes yet. I'll need to get a better view of them.

• The Winx are wearing pink and grey plaid school uniform style outfits throughout the trailer. It's unconfirmed if these will be the official everyday outfits for this season or not at this time. The outfits are really cute and pretty but I'm not sure how I feel about them being so similar. It kind of takes their individuality away as a group of fairies with totally different powers. 

• Daphne is shown getting into the transformation poses with the Winx girls. It will be cool to see her fighting with the Winx in a few episodes, but please Daphne... don't join the Club. How lame would it be to be in a club with your younger sibling? I would hate that. A lot of people are saying that Daphne deserves to in the Winx Club because she helped out the Winx so much but is it really necessary? Daphne is already Bloom's sister so they can hang out when ever they want. I'd much rather see Roxy join. I want to see her progression as a fairy. How cool would it be to see her get her Enchantix powers or something? Although I feel like this will never  happen because Rainbow and Nick  seem to like to not like to talk about old transformations once a new one comes along, which is really unsettling for me. I always miss the old ones! 

• There's a very anime-ish vibe and style throughout the whole trailer. I think I like it! I'm not sure if it's exactly "Winx" but I guess we'll see when the new season 6 episodes debut!
  

• We see the Specialists with new outfits. 

• Of course we get a sneak peak of the new transformations! It looks like there will be two in this season.

As you guys can see there will be CGI animation in the 6th season, but I'm pretty sure most of us saw that coming. 

What did you guys think about the trailer? I'm SO excited for season 6! And if fashion dolls come out I'm sure they'd be gorgeous!

Fly High All Around Part 3: Winx Club Toys Consumer Research Survey!

 BubbleGumMagic97 and I have come out with our next part of the Fly High All Around Winx Club Doll Campaign! If you are unsure what this campaign is all about: Click here for a previous blog post explaining #FlyHighAllAround. 

Now we have developed a survey that we will be sending to a team at Jakks Pacific in order to help them out with marketing strategies and product development. It is NOT definite that this survey will have a significant impact on the Winx Club doll line, but our hopes are that it is read and helps out the Winx Club team at Jakks Pacific in some way. 

The questions in the survey are mostly aimed at marketing and advertising, which we believe are among the major things that needs improvement in the Winx Club Doll line by Jakks Pacific.

Fly High All Around: Let's Contact Jakks: My reply from Jakks Pacific!

Please click here to read my previous article about the email campaign to Jakks Pacific I have started. We need you to help out so PLEASE check it out. It could be helpful with convincing Jakks what could  be done with the doll line to help improve sales.

After sending my letter about my marketing concerns and other concerns for the Winx Club doll line I received a very nice email from Jakks. Also, it wasn't just an automated reply they directly answered part of my question---so you know the letter will be acknowledged and read if sent to consumers@jakks.com 

Here is the reply I received in text format and screenshot:

"Thank you for contacting Consumer Relations,

I would be more than happy to forward your email to the appropriate department.  We are always striving to improve our products an appreciate any type of feedback.  We appreciate that you have taken the time out to write us.  If you have any further concerns feel free to contact me."

Fly High All Around Part 2: Contact Jakks Pacific!

If you haven't already heard I have started the "Fly High All Around" Winx Club Doll Campaign on my YouTube Channel Sailoreric97 with BubbleGumMagic97 on YouTube. The Winx Club dolls by Jakks Pacific have been selling poorly lately and we want to change this! Please read about my previous post about #FlyHighAllAround here for more details if you haven't heard about it yet. 

So we know doll sales are low and as fans we pretty much can see the obvious problems with the Winx Club Doll line. Most fans have come to the conclusion that poor doll sales are a result of:

• Poor Marketing by Jakks and Nickelodeon: It seems that Jakks Pacific and Nickelodeon really haven't been advertising Winx. Winx Club just randomly stopped airing on Nickelodeon and when the show was airing we weren't seeing very many, if any, commercials to advertise the show and let fans know when it was airing. Nickelodeon doesn't seem to advertise Nick much on their social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter. Without the frequent advertising  how can they expect people who aren't huge fans like us to stay updated? 

• Too Many Blooms left on shelves: This is one major problem that no doubt hurt the line. Consumers were mostly finding Bloom dolls and when they wanted other characters, they simply had trouble finding them due to the rarer characters selling out fast. UPDATE: It seems that this problem may be being fixed. I was watching a Tecna Sirenix Doll review on YouTube and in the comments I asked the girl how many of each character she saw at the store. She replied to me saying she saw one of each girl! So hopefully this will be the new case ratio. 

• Bad Distribution:  From what I've heard people were for the most part able to easily find the first releases---Believix, Concert, and Everyday Collections. But when it came to the second wave of dolls---Harmonix and City Style- some people still have not been able to find these dolls in stores. 

Fly High All Around Winx Club Doll Campaign!

According to many recent articles (some more recent than others) the Winx Club Doll line has been selling poorly. Here are just two articles you can read about toy sales at Jakks Pacific. Both directly mention the Winx Club Doll Line.

There are many factors that have probably contributed to the poor sales. Here are a few:

• Infrequent/Inadequate advertising of the show/dolls
• Shelves overloaded with Bloom dolls
• Poor distribution/difficulty in finding the specific doll/s a person wants

Because of these poor doll sales I have teamed up with BubbleGumMagic97 on my YouTube channel Sailoreric97 to start a campaign to promote doll sales! 

The campaign is called "Fly High All Around!" Through the campaign we will be promoting the Winx Club Doll Line and hope to raise awareness of the line in hopes that doll sales improve!

The doll sales for this Fall will no doubt have a MAJOR impact on the fate of the Winx Club doll line.
